NOVEMBERThe general consensus for "Water For Elephants" was that
we LOVED it!! and if you haven't read it yet you must. Water for Elephants gives an entertaining look into circus life of the 1930's, it paints a realistic picture of the subculture that turns into a wild page turner, I literally read the entire book in two sittings. It was scandalous and juicy. I loved this book ,and after discussing it with everyone i loved it even more! The most interesting point that i feel was discussed? Who was Augusts' murder....... some of us didn't even think twice, but upon re-reading the prologue, together we decided this: the murderer was A) definitely not an orangutan(right Katie) B) that the true culprit was not the friendly giant Rosie but in fact it was Marlena. Jacob merely loved Marlena so much that he kept her secret(or maybe wantb, even as a 90 something year old man as he relayed the story to his new found friend....... i don't know what do you think, maybe i'm just dumb and it was really obvious:) the final conclusion is that we all cant wait for the movie coming out spring 2011 with Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattenson. Anyhoo it was so fun seeing everyone and meeting at The Chocolate it was the perfect setting and the Canoli was hittin' the spot!!!! thanks everyone who could make at and hope to see more of ya's next month!!!
